San Gimignano is one of the most fascinating medieval symbol of Tuscany. Its wonderful medieval towers are an irresistible lure and you can only follow the road, park the car out from the village and go in. Discovering this village of ancient Etruscan origin that stands on one of the pillars of the renowned Francigena road. Crossing the San Francesco bastion and over Porta San Giovanni, gentle ups and downs take you to the triangular Cisterna square, ancient home of markets and festival.
From here you can enjoy a view over much of the village. The tower of Palazzo Pellaro, Palazzo Tortoli, the twin towers of Ardinghelli and a few ancient San Gimignano villas. In the small lanes all around you can visit shops of ceramics, food and wine, antiques and souvenir as well as a real estate agency where you can find a lot of great opportunities of villa rentals in Tuscany. All housed in in old buildings where you can still notice charming features of medieval age that make of these stores charming places where shopping.
San Gimignano is also famous for being located in the very heart of the Chianti area. All around are wonderful landscapes, famous wine estates and villas, farmhouses with olive groves and sunflower fields. Its a surprising place where time slows down, where dramatic sunsets remain in your memories and the scents of nature make a single whole with the flavours of Chianti wines, maybe tasted next to the swimming pool of your luxury villa in Tuscany. An unforgettable experience if you have the opportunity to rent one of the very few holiday villas in Tuscany.
Renting a holiday villa in Tuscany means to live one of the most romantic experience you can try in your life. There is a rmagical atmosphere, especially if you had the chance to book one of the luxury villas to rent in Tuscany near locations like San Gimignano. A place that is able to evoke a lot of different feelings that join together in a unique, unrepeatable experience. I could write thousands of words on San Gimignano and its surroundings but I prefer to resume all the words in a warm advice: go there. Try it.
You can find all the information you may require by visiting villa rentals in Tuscany and villas to rent in Tuscany.
