Phillip Island is in Melbourne, Australia, in Victoria’s state capital. This island is situated about 90 miles from Melbourne’s south east along the Westernport Bay entrance. Phillip Island is home to the Australian MotoGP, which is a motorcycle even, the Grand Prix Circuit, famous penguin parade and Australian fur seals, the biggest colony in the world. There are a number of local families living on Phillip Island, which means there is a lot of commercial activity and busy day to day hub. The infrastructure of Phillip Island caravan parks mean that travelers have the opportunity of getting away from their hectic lifestyle, and escaping to Phillip Island without its modern amenities.
There is an exciting array of activities on Phillip Island such as golf, fishing, scuba diving, scenic helicopter adventures, trail or road cycling, yachting, motorcycling, wineries, walking, spas, canoe treks, kayak and long stretches of wonderful beaches. The island is known to attract millions of travelers each year. Some people even travel from other countries to get to Phillip Island. Others just come from all over Australia. Phillip Island is a vacation spot that offers loads of fun and excitement! Accommodation is available in resorts, hotels, motels, boarding houses, guest houses, camping and most importantly the Phillip Island caravan parks. Phillip Island caravan parks are nestled among sand dunes, and are a natural landscape of gardens and trees found on Newhaven Beach. Phillip Island caravan parks located within distance of cafes, restaurants and shops. Phillip Island caravan parks have various attractions close by and include Churchill Island Heritage Park, National Vietnam Veterans Museum, The Nobbies, Phillip Island Chocolate Factory and the Koala Conservatory to name a few places.
Phillip Island offers two great golf courses to visitors. The Aussie Golfing Ranch is located along the dunes, and covers over 23 acres of vast land. The PI Golf Club is a must play course, which offer full 18 holes. The island covers 100 square kilometers, and is an exciting and interesting area to be explored. Phillip Island is flat, so it makes traveling on a bicycle or walking much easier. Cape Wollamai is the highest point on the island, which is situated at the south east end. The coastline covers a vast area of land, but can be explored on foot.
The coastline on Phillip Island is exciting and great for surfing, snoozing and fishing. Visitors traveling on bicycles will benefit from cycling on the flat terrain, while enjoying the beautiful coastline on a morning. The famous penguin parade is a family friendly spectacle which is known to bring in thousands of visitors. At sunset, penguins spring from the water and sleep in the sandy burrows or on the beach!
Last week end I went to phillip island with my family and we stayed at this phillip island caravan park which was lovely and very kid friendly.
