With the price of a barrel of oil going through the roof again the cost of gasoline at the pumps is just going to keep going up and up. With this in mind I think that we should all be doing whatever we can to squeeze every last mile out of a gallon of gas, not just to save our own hard earned cash, but to help in the fight against depleting energy reserves and global warming. One way to do this is to convert a gas engine to run on hydrogen.
Many people have already managed to convert their ordinary gasoline engines to run on Hydrogen with pretty good results and you don’t need to be a scientist or professional mechanic to do it. Anybody with a general knowledge of cars can convert a gasoline engine to run on Hydrogen and as most of the parts needed can be purchased at your local hardware or auto-parts store at reasonably prices it is not going to cost you a fortune.
Hydrogen is a combustible fuel that can burn in much the same way as gasoline in an ordinary cars engine. But because Hydrogen has a simpler molecular structure it produces far less pollutants when it burns and it also burns much more efficiently and more cleanly than gasoline so not only do you get more MPG you also cut down on the harmful exhaust emissions usually associated with gasoline engines.
When you convert a gas engine to run on Hydrogen what you are actually doing is making a small Hydrogen Generator for your car. This Hydrogen Generator system works by a process called electrolysis, where a small amount of water from a container fitted under the hood of your car is turned into Hydrogen and Oxygen gas or HHO. This gas is then forced into the airflow of the intake manifold where it is mixed with the regular gasoline air mixture from your engine giving you a cleaner more efficient burn and so improving the gas mileage of you car.
Other benefits of converting your gasoline engine to run on Hydrogen include,
-
Less ware and tear on your engine due to the more efficient burning of Hydrogen gas.
-
A quieter smoother running engine.
-
It helps to remove carbon deposits from your engine and prevents further build up resulting in a longer life for your engine and less repair costs.
-
Greater performance and more power.
So what is your first step to convert my gasoline engine to run on Hydrogen?
Well you could easily buy a Hydrogen Generator Kit which contains all the parts you need along with an instruction manual, but on the whole these kits are very expensive and so would take along time for you to re-coup you investment. A more affordable alternative is to buy a step by step guide which will not only show you how to put a Hydrogen Generator for your car together, it also tells you where to buy all the parts needed cheaply. There are several of these guides available on the internet and I have included a link to the best of these at the end of this article.
So if you want to get more MPG for your car why not convert your gasoline engine to run on hydrogen, by downloading a step by step guide and find out just how easy it is to get fantastic mileage.
Find out for yourself how to Convert a Gasoline Engine to run on Hydrogen get more MPG and cut your fuel consumption in half.
