Showers are something that everyone likes to take. Different people take them for different reasons, besides the obvious of cleaning themselves. Many people find much relaxation when taking a nice, long, hot shower. Other people take them to help their sore muscles after a long day of work. No matter the reason that a person takes one, they all have one thing in common. Every bathtub needs a door or shower curtain. A curtain is used for a variety of reasons. The most common reason that one is used is to avoid the water from getting all over the floor. People may choose which curtain they want to use depending on their own personal style and taste.
Plastic shower curtains come in a wide variety of colors and designs. They can be found with modern, traditional or contemporary designs, as well as with your favorite cartoon character on it. Depending on the style of the bathroom will depend on what design you choose. Most often you will also need a plastic lining with your shower curtain. This lining is what is inside the tub while showering, therefore locking the water in, and the curtain usually hangs on the outside of the bathtub.
Plastic curtains can last a long time if they are properly taken care of. Most of them can be taken down and then put through the washing machine on a gentle cycle. This is an easy way of cleaning it, however do not put it through the dryer or it may melt.
Another great way to take care of your shower curtain is to keep a spray bottle of bleach water near by. After the last shower of the day you should spray the lining with the bleach water. This will kill any harmful bacteria that is present and will prolong the use of your curtain.
If you do not clean your plastic shower curtain on a regular basis then you will start to notice disgusting yellow streaks and sometimes even black mold growing on it. This is a problem because it can obviously create unwanted health issues.
Shower curtains can be a fun thing to have in your bathroom. Remember that there are so many designs out there that you are sure to be able to find the right one that will compliment your bathroom perfectly. Also remember that as long as you take good care of it, it will have a long life.
