Is A Cruise The Right Holiday For Me?

There comes a time in everybody's life where they pose themselves the question "Do I want to go on a Cruise?". Like your mid-life crisis, it is just waiting to happen.
While to young travellers and 18-30 holiday fans it may seem a 'one foot in the grave' holiday, decks full of old people, sleeping off the all you can eat lunch before a pre-9pm bedtime waltz, to many others a cruise offers all you could desire. So is it something we should all do once at least or if you're eternally young at heart, will it suddenly age you?
Here are some reasons as to why it could appeal to you:
Everything is taken care of:
This is the biggest selling point for most people. You arrive at the dock (you may even have been picked up from a local collection point), get shown to your cabin and unpack. And that's all you need to do! Unpack once and then let all the different destinations come to you. All you have to do is wake up each morning and stroll across the deck, no packing up and unpacking, getting different hotels, finding their already booked. Your cabin is your cabin and it is there for you!
An all inclusive cruise also means that you don't have to worry about paying for or arranging food or drink. Just over indulge until your heart is content. Entertainment onboard will also be provided, from the classic cabarets to dancing and theatre. If you haven't reached port and you don't want to watch the wide expansive ocean all night, there's likely to be an almost heard of comedian just ready to tickle your cockles!
Views you won't see anywhere else:
With a cruise you really do get to experience panoramic views while appreciating the true size and majesty of the ocean. You can almost imagine the feeling the original navigators and explorers felt when approaching a country for the first time. Normally, we land within the country: We step off the plane and our greeting is tarmac or an arrivals lounge. With a cruise you get to see the country become larger as you approach and you actually step off from the ocean onto newly discovered (for you at least!) terra firma.
We'll meet again; don't know when - tomorrow perhaps?
On a cruise holiday, you could make friends for life. And fortunately if you meet someone you would like to avoid, cruise ships are generally big enough to easily do so. However many people make lifelong friends or even future partners on cruises. Due to the continuing change of country and view, there is an exciting buzz to be felt amongst guests. With plenty of entertainment on board and all inclusive luxuries, you get a chance to let your hair down, lower your inhibitions and meet people who are there to have a memorable time and also meet new people.
You get to share some fantastic views with people and create memories and relationships. You never know who you may bump into when you turn the corner!
Choosing to look at some cruise holidays could be one of your best holiday decisions. Just be prepared for the feeling of loss you may experience on your last day as you realise that the crew will no longer be looking after you and that it's time to start cooking again...
