Venice Carnival 2011: space for women and patriotism

It will take place from 19 February to 8 March, the historical event of the Carnival of Venice, this year the theme will be women.
Specifically entitled "Ottocento, da Senso a Sissi, la città delle donne " in 2011 the event will go inside to incorporate other important events such as Women's Day and the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The Carnival will open Feb. 19 with the Grand Toast to Wine Fountain at 18, an event that set the Venetian Festival on Sunday 20 represents the taste of what will then be celebrated from February 26 to March 8. In fact, these are the dates of major events like the Feast of Mary, the pageants, the gala dinner, the selections for the best mask, and the traditional flight of the angel. Even children will have their space with the children's carnival to be held at Campo San Polo for the duration of the Carnival. Do not miss the shows will also be in the big foyer of San Marco.
