How often do you check out Facebook? If you are a human on the internet, and reading this in English, chances are it anywhere from once a day to once every ten minutes. Lately, you may have even been dragged a lot more often by the progressive addition of Like buttons on many noted websites, permitting you to share anything you want with your Facebook friends. The Like button has even put in place of Facebook's old Share button, conjoining the two uses into one click. In spite of your take on the site, it's inarguable that Facebook has evolved into one of the most widely used social networks ever. Events, Games, and even your favorite brand of waffles have a fan page. When you visit any site on the net, you're likely to find a link to their Facebook profile as well. Even web browsers have their own Facebook profile, with the Mozilla Firefox free download noticeably displayed right next to a giant blue "F". Anything that does not have that nice little "thumbs up" can still easily be linked on your wall. Photos are quickly uploaded and placed in albums, after which you can tag friends in the photo with a link to their wall. Links can be shared with copy and paste, with the option to include a thumbnail from the link and a message from the original poster.
Forgotten are the days of receiving a physical copy of a party invite. Unless you're being invited to a thing as important as a wedding, you can count on being invited to the majority of events solely through Facebook. Even more awkward, you'll be able to see any parties you weren't invited to, if the facebook event admin forgets to lock down the privacy settings. Of course, there is a dark side, and a whole new grade of excluding people for you to examine on Facebook, even going so far as being able to ruling out who can and can't see your posts with unique friend groups. Being a creep is also easier than previously, with a lot of today's users being informed (and even active participators) of a little light Facebook stalking. Relying on your individual privacy settings, other users can see anywhere between just about all, to nearly zero of your information and content. It's a beneficial suggestion to reinforce your security to "Friends only" so you can just neglect people you do not know and be friends with those you do.
Alerting you to events approaching is a very fine setting indeed for the lazy or forgetful. Even if you do not know when your boyfriend's birthday is, Facebook does, and it definitely will let you know with a friendly reminder. Any event you reply to or are invited to as well as any approaching parties and anniversaries of your loved ones are positioned at the top of the screen, with fast access to their respected pages. Telling someone Happy Birthday, in other words, has become less intimate than ever before since you no longer need to recall said birthday. Despite your feelings on the issue, Facebook is a huge part of millions of people's lives every day, and won't be disappearing any time soon.
I work with social media for a living, so keeping up with facebook is just part of my job. Spending so much time on the internet means I really know the value of a mozilla firefox free download. If you haven't already, I suggest everyone download firefox free today.
