When you wash your dishes, make sure that you do not leave water standing on the kitchen counters or around the sink.
Consider buying a dehumidifier; it will keep your house dry and will reduce it to a greater extent. In case, you live in an area with a humid or warm climate, it will become increasingly difficult to deal with it. You will have to take good care of your house and keep it dry.
It is very important that your house has a plenty of air flowing around. This is because fresh air will clear out all the spores. In the bathroom, always remember to turn on the exhaust fan during and after the shower. This way, moisture and water will be dried out before it gets a chance to settle.
Lastly, you should regularly check around your house all the hidden places where such things are likely to grow. It is a serious a problem that needs to be taken into account seriously before it affects you and your family.
