Most dog lovers remember that moment when it happened, and a cute little canine locked eyes with them, and the next thing they knew there was a bond that would last forever. That trusted companion became dependent on the person who adopted them, and all natural dog food can be the best way to help maintain a long and lasting friendship. Let's take a quick look at some factors which might be surprising as to what happens when feeding the usual off the shelf pet food.
Dogs are related to wolves and coyotes, and in a natural habitat, none of them are vegetarians. What plant content they eat is inside entrails and could be debatable as to whether the dog is after the vegetable content, or simply eating the protein matter that contains it. By nature, canines are protein eaters, and a high grain content can actually cause digestive problems.
Humans have gotten wise to what health effects can happen from the foods they eat, and it only stands to reason that these same findings would apply to any mammal. Cancer causing agents were being used in human food, and now they are found in pet foods. Certain diseases have been linked with chemically treated dog foods, which include increased numbers of tumors and variations of cancer.
Dog trainers and professional breeders were faced with a period of time where hip displacement seemed to be a matter of tight blood lines which were considered a birth defect. When these people started feeding natural dog foods this condition occurred less often.
The usual canine feeds found on store shelves have been found to cause a list of food allergies, including skin rashes, ear infections and itchy paws. An increased amount of mucus is also present, and canines seem to sneeze and cough more often. In many cases, it becomes more difficult to find a commercial brand of nutrient that the dog will continue to eat.
Bowel and bladder incontinence have both been linked to commercially produce pet products. In many cases, pet owners have mistakenly believed that bladder incontinence was connected with a nervous personality, or simply a submissive behavior. Chemicals found in the food source turned out to be the cause of these condition, and had nothing to do with the character of the canine.
Raw foods typically do not have harmful preservatives which are one of the most common reasons canines experience bad side effects of commercial dog foods. Other chemicals are not used, and the overall health of the animal can be greatly improved. If the words used to describe the contents that were used in preparing any food source are too difficult for you to pronounce, changes are these could be the type of ingredients which can endanger the life of your pet.
The companionship that can exist between a human and a canine can be like no other relationship a person experiences. This bond carries with it the responsibility of providing the best in health care, and a diet of natural dog food could offer your pet a more enjoyable living condition, and a longer life.
