Easter holidays are only one month away, and for those who are lucky enough to have a few days off it is time to think about the best travel destination.
The alternatives to spend pleasant Easter holidays are numberless, from mountains to seaside resorts, from spas to art cities, and those who can enjoy some vacation days are really spoilt for choice.
The choice of the destination for your Easter holidays depends on various factors: budget, first of all, then the number of days you have at your disposal, weather, the type of holiday you desire and so on. Usually you do not have many days at your disposal during your Easter holiday, and unless you have some days off in arrears or you decide to take some days off in advance it is not always possible to travel to faraway places. This is why many Italian people choose Italian art cities, from Rome to Venice, from Naples to Florence, which certainly have much to offer to their visitors, thanks to a huge artistic heritage that is well-known all over the world. Moreover, this year Italy celebrates the 150th anniversary of its unification, and many Italian cities will be even more appealing thanks to the numberless happenings and exhibitions that they are hosting to celebrate this important event.
But if you wish to spend another type of holiday, a holiday that gives you the chance to take a break from the chaos of our cities and immerse yourselves in the nature, the ideal solution might be a holiday on the mountains. This year Easter falls late, on the 24th of April, and it will be difficult to find slopes where to enjoy skiing, snowboarding or bobsleighing, but many mountain cities have much to offer not only as far as ski slopes are concerned. Many hotels, for example, have excellent spas where you can relax and recover your strengths before coming back to work. Or you can take pleasant walks along the mountain paths, surrounded by a natural frame that conveys a sense of serenity and peace, and take a break in a chalet to eat something and taste some local products.
Since Easter falls late this year, in the height of the spring, you may also think about a seaside resort. If you travel to the South of Italy you will most probably enjoy good weather and high temperatures, but if the weather holds at the end of April there might be high temperatures also in the regions of the North of Italy. And even if the weather is not good you do not need to worry: many Italian seaside resorts can surprise tourists with many alternatives to the beach. An evidence of this is given by the cities of the Romagna Riviera, where you can start from to visit some beautiful art cities or to enjoy a tasty food tour.
Easter holidays are only one month away: you only have to decide whether you prefer mountains, sea or art cities, then you can enjoy your well deserved holiday!
