Wakeboarding, surfing, kayaking, parasailing and canoeing are fun and exciting water sports activities that are worth capturing and seeing over and over again-- especially if you're the one on the water. The thrill of being able to conquer the waves or white water doubles the excitement quotient of those about to engage in the activity. Of course, the accompanying danger heightens the sense of anticipation even more.
However, these water activities used to be too difficult to capture using traditional hand-held video cameras. For surfers, only friends from the shore could get a video of you in action as you ride the waves. It's even twice as difficult to capture kayakers navigating the rapids with traditional cameras.
In recent years, however, that has all changed. Thanks to the invention of POV cameras for water sports, you can share a piece of the action to friends and family as it happens from your very own POV or point-of-view. Waterproof and shock resistant, these wearable cameras can be strapped to your wrist, shoulders or chest or can be attached using a special mount to your surfboard or sails. For kayakers or canoers who need their arms to paddle, these lightweight cameras can be placed on the wrist or strapped on the torso so you can still record the action as it happens. Surfers can mount these on their surfboards so their facial reactions are captured as they try to conquer the waves. They can even be positioned overhead on the sails of a yacht so you have the effect of having an overhead helicopter take your shots for you.
POV cameras for water sports are also used by snorkelers or scuba divers to capture life under water. Using head mounts similar to what miners use for their headlamps, these cameras are able to capture the diverse and colorful, sometimes dangerous, flora and fauna of the aquatic world. Scenes that you don't normally encounter daily-- such as being face-to-face with a shark-- are etched forever in your camera's memory card, later to be relived and shared. Taking pictures and videos of your tropical resort vacation wouldn't be complete without a shot of you swimming with the fishes.
All the live action on and under water from your point-of-view can only be possible with POV cameras for water sports. These cameras have features that you can easily adjust even while you're in the midst of all the action with its touch-button functions, and can record your water exploits up to a certain depth.
Just in case you're wondering, these POV cameras for water sports aren't only meant for water activities. They can be used on land as well. Thanks to its versatility, you get two cameras for the price of one. With an average price range of $300, they're not really that expensive compared to camera models of the previous years that only well-budgeted Hollywood films can afford. Now, you can take these POV cameras with you to record your next water adventure. Smile!
