Made by Sony, Resistance: Fall of Man, is a game that is based wholly on the spirit and essence of war. In this game, you will be a US army ranger who bands together with the British who are desperately trying to free the world from the aggressive invasion of a new alien species called the Chimera. These species can latch onto other life forms with a virus that causes them to immediately turn into Chimera, as well, this assuring a bountiful army ever-growing.

As Nathan Hale, you must help the British soldiers defeat the Chimera, as they sweep the land with the desire to convert all species into their own. In the game, the Chimera seizes Russia and builds a wall around the nation so the world breathlessly waits for what evils will spill from behind that wall. The US comes to assist and it will be up to you and the US forces, as well as the British, to ensure that this does not spread around the world.

The game is mostly made up of intense game play, some aggressive fighting, and a lot of killing is required. The Chimera come in many sizes and shapes, some are gigantic and beyond life size of humans, others are frightful in shape or daunting and frightening to look at, but they must each be killed and defeated. You can hold human weapons or Chimeran weapons as you fight, as there are a variety of interesting, exotic, and unique weapons from which to choose for both the humans and aliens.

Also, as you play, your objective is to rack up some Skill Task points. This can be done by performing Skill Tasks, that depending on their worth will get you points that later help you unlock new material within the game. Sometimes all you have to do is kill an enemy in a short amount of time or find hidden beings or objects in secret areas and then you will get points. However, you never know when you are performing one, as it is only revealed to you after you have done it that it was indeed, a skill task. So it is not something to really strive for, more than just making sure you are being active and going the extra mile so that you can get some extra points.

You will get to experience this game with realistic graphics and beautiful, bright visuals. Though there is always something happening on screen, whether it be a raging battle, hunting down some deadly aliens, or just a wild, explosive fight scene with war vehicles and a number of other things, the screen manages to remain free from appearing crowded and you will get to enjoy the visuals with a measure of balance and peace, considering it is based on violence and war.

Also, there is a heightened sense of danger that accompanies the game, as the characters really are very lethal and dangerous and can only be defeated with great care and sometimes only with a joint attack. For an adventurous game of fighting and adventure, this game packs a punch and delivers on both counts.
