The rooms that will be painted should be clear of clothes and junk on the floor. Anything of value should be put away or removed to avoid paint damage or the items getting lost. The last thing anyone wants is to find a family heirloom dotted with paint spray. The walls should be free of cobwebs and dirt.

Move Furniture

Before the final contract is signed, the consumer should do a walk-through with the painting contractor to confirm which rooms will be painted what colors and how the room should be prepared before work an begin. This includes who is responsible for moving heavy furniture, such a couches, dressers and beds.
