The condense combi-boiler system is a heating boiler that consists of the boiler and the heating system. It heats both the water and the home at the same time, giving you instant water when you need it. It has been proved that the combi-boiler is highly efficient as it re uses energy that it has burned for other functions.
The energy efficiency is worked out by giving it a SEDBUK BAND rating and since October 2010 only SEDBUK Band A ratings (above 90% energy efficient) can now be installed in to homes.
Combi- boilers had previously a bad name as they were very unreliable and difficult to repair but over the last 10 years or so, manufacturers such as Worcester-Bosch Glow worm and Vaillant have been working on both making the models more reliable and ensuring their after care service is second to none.
All over Europe the combi-boiler has been a popular choice for home owners. However, the UK has been slow to cotton on to the advantages that a condense combi-boiler can give. For instance logistically they are easier to fit and are now compact enough to fit in smaller spaces such as lofts, the airing cupboard or even a kitchen cupboard.
More and more people are opting for the Combi-boiler, not only because of its efficiency but also because it can be housed in locations in the home that are out of the way, which is in complete contrast to its predecessor the conventional boiler which needed a hot water cylinder, water tanks in the loft and the boiler itself. The combi-boiler ensures the cylinder and tanks are redundant and only the appliance itself is needed to heat both your home and the water to your home.
So if you are in need of a new heating boiler, and your property matches the criteria (2/3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) then we recommend you give a Combi-boiler a good going over starting with a
Worcester-Bosch Greenstar 24i Junior.
