8. Close unneeded programs that are operating with the Task Manager. Simply hit the "ctrl", "alt" and "del" keys concurrently and the "Task Manager" will show up. under the "Applications" tab, simply shut down any programs that are running that do not need to be. Also under the "processes" menu, you can shut processes that you have opened from time to time. Chances are good that there are many processes that you need running so educate yourself on those most used processes before closing them down.
