When you think of bathroom remodeling, do you want to run away and hide? That's the way I felt about all interior design when it came to my own house. I needed bath remodeling in two of my very own Salt Lake City bathrooms. They also happened to be the only bathrooms in the house, so they needed to be done quickly. Beginning with simply looking for a bathroom design and other bathroom ideas that I liked, I bravely began my task.

Now, anybody living in Salt Lake knows that remodeling can be a huge chore, especially because of the sporadic weather. The weather really does affect interior design as well as exterior design. It's hard to move equipment around in the snow. This is something I wish I had considered before I started my bathroom remodeling. For me, finding and transporting the flooring and other materials was the hardest part.

I really loved coming up with ideas for the design. I didn't want my bathroom to have the typical Utah bathroom plan; I wanted a more exotic style. I started experimenting with different design ideas, and with many different themes. It was so hard to narrow it down, even though I had two entire bathrooms to design! If you are planning a bath remodeling of your own, here is a good way to sort through all of your options.

Especially in a small bathroom, there are only so many ways you can rearrange the layout. The first thing you have to do, is take a measuring tape you the bathroom in question Next, write down the measurements of everything in the room. This means the counter, the bathtub or shower, even the toilet. Once you have that all written down, measure all around the walls, taking down he measurements of each wall. The next step involves a few sheets of grid paper, so make sure you have a few of those handy. First, count out each square as a foot of your bathroom space. Cut out miniatures of all of your furniture. Then draw out a scaled outline of your wall space a few times. Here is where the fun part comes in. Now, you get to experiment with different layouts for the bathroom. Just start moving around the pieces, or draw your own if you plan on getting new countertops and a new bathtub or shower.

When you think you have it the way you want it, it's time to start the hunt. What style do you want? What theme would be the best for you and your family? Start looking around on the internet and look at what is available out there. I loved this part, and you probably will too. Next, came the part that I didn't like so much: moving equipment in the snow. If also live in Salt Lake City or somewhere else with similar weather, I wish you luck. Not only do I wish you luck, I hope for your sake that you have a truck. Don't let the words bathroom remodeling scare you too much though. It is possible, and it can be fun.
