Looking for things to do in San Francisco? I just visited San Francisco and here is list of some of the things we did. We started out with Fisherman's Wharf. It is by far one of the more popular attractions in San Francisco. There are many shops with a wide range of souvenirs from many different countries. They have the freshest seafood ever. Remember parking is expensive, however if you are on a scooter the parking is a fraction of the cost.
Next we took a tour of Chinatown. Once again we had a great time and awesome food.
I had never been to the golden gate bridge but always wanted to. That Golden Gate was beautiful. We walked out to the middle and through a penny in the water. I don't the people of San Francisco like you doing it but it was fun watching it fall.
Some of the side streets of San Francisco hide some of the neatest antique stores around.
You can't visit San Francisco and not ride on a cable car. The aged wood and the polished brass of the cars was fun to see.
We wanted to go out to Alcatraz Prison for a tour but didn't get to. I guess we were having too much fun in the city of San Francisco.
We visited the painted Ladies of Union Street. We ran into one of the owners and he kindly let us take a tour of his house. It was a beautiful four story Victorian house, with awesome woodwork.
There is so much Diversity in San Francisco; it is like a big melting pot of cultures.
We had to go back to Fisherman's Wharf. My friend wanted a few more souvenirs and I wanted some more fresh Halibut.
We visited the beach the same day and bought some kites to fly. It took a while but we got the hang of it and had our kites soaring over San Francisco.
We visit mission District South where we found the tastiest Mexican food ever. It was reasonably priced as well.
I had to take a tour of the Jewish Museum. It had a wonderful display of Jewish culture, history, and art.
We took a tour of Castro Street, home to many of the gays and lesbians of San Francisco. It was well kept and impeccably clean.
The San Francisco Zoo was fun but way to crowded. We chose a bad day to go because it was free admission day.
The Winery Collective is a group of the local wineries in San Francisco, where we were able to test some very good wines. It was hard choosing a favorite wine.
We drove out to Muir Woods and were amazed at the towering redwoods.
Some of them were over 1000 years old.
We wanted to go to Yosemite National Park but the drive was a little too far for us. I have always wanted to see the highest waterfalls in America.
We finished our trip with a trip to Lake Tahoe. Where we enjoyed a fun cabin and rented a boat for a few hours to do some skiing.
