Below are some of my tips for playing DOTA:

Tip 1 Farming for Gold Early in the Game

Farming early in the game is an excellent method of getting main items more quickly. The greater gold you can get, the quicker it will probably be for your hero to become powerful. Get gold as quickly as possible to get one advantage from the foes. Do not forget that it doesn't matter how much gap is there in your level, when you already have your core items, it will likely be tougher for the other team to win the game.

Tip 2 Last hit or Getting a Kill

Most new competitors have trouble getting a last hit or getting a kill and I was like that before. Try pressing/holding the ALT Key to help you see the life line of the creeps, heroes, buildings and etc. When the health bars are actually low enough and you feel you could destroy it in a single attack, approach it and then strike. Last hitting offers you gold and also extra experience on your hero. This can be another way of keeping yourself outside of range of the opposite team.

Tip 3 Team Play

You should be able to work with your group to either get rid of all enemy or win the game. Make sure you adjust yourself to ensure that everything may go well. When trying to eliminate an opponent or opponents, try suggesting or listening to your group about the plan you are likely to use. Ensure that every person will cooperate so that the tactic will absolutely work.

Tip 4 Item Build for your Hero

Item build for hero is very important. Don’t waste your own gold on things that you don’t require. Try studying some guides so that you will know the suitable item builds for one particular hero. All the items will help make your hero better and maximize its survivability.

Tip 5 Hotkeys for Skills

Hotkeys are incredibly useful in playing the game. As an alternative to clicking each and every skill, you need to simply push a key from your keyboard then a skill is casted. Try hovering your cursor into the skill image, there you will have a pop-up detailed description about that ability including the mana cost, cooldown, and also the name, notice that the name of the skill carries a character which has a different color, that'll be the keyboard shortcut for the ability. Since team clashes only last for secs, this will likely help you save time to enable you to use all your skills in a blink of an eye. Aim to get better at timing and skill keys for every hero so that you can play better.

Tip 6 Continue Practicing

People which are worldly recognized in playing DOTA didn’t start as pro in playing the game. They keep practicing each day or every single night. Additionally, they read through several guides and study them so they can boost their capabilities and correct their problems.
