Los Angeles is one of the top places to visit in the world and is that way for good reasons. Whether you visit downtown Los Angeles or Hollywood, there is much to do and see in the famous section of Southern California. Los Angeles is home to many celebrities like Britney Spear and Nicholas Cage who live in places like Beverly Hills and Holmby Hill.

While in Hollywood, you won't want to miss out on the Walk of Fame where you can find your favorite actors and entertainer's stars.

If you are looking for a theme park then Universal Studios is where you want to be. The park has rides that are all based on popular films and television shows. Exciting rides like Jurassic Park and Back to the Future are a few of the rides that you will find at the famous Universal Studios Park.

If you aren't spending on a tight budget, a helicopter tour is a whole new way to see the massive city that is otherwise impossible to see from a plane window. Try and see all the attractions like the Hollywood sign, sunset strip, and downtown LA.

Venice Beach, popular for its street entertainers and shops, is a great place to take a walk and escape the sometimes overwhelming city lifestyle.

While you are in Los Angeles you will in the middle of some of the best shopping in the country. With high end shops like Gucci and Prada, you will get a taste of the high fashion that is a part of LA. Rodeo Drive also has a host of boutiques, where many celebrities have been spotted shopping.

If you want to taste the culture in the city, stop by the Getty Center and see some of the best art that exists. The Getty Center was created to house J. Paul Getty's collection of European art. If you aren't art savvy, the Getty Center is still worth visiting for its peaceful gardens and scenery.

The Warner Brothers Studio has an awesome tour where you can see some of the sets to many popular television shoes.

The La Brea Tar Pits are also really neat to see. The pits are arguably the highest concentration of dinosaur and prehistoric fossils in the entire world. Many of the fossils that have been excavated are on display in the Page Museums which are located right at the tar pits. If you are lucky, you might even be present at the tar pits when an actual fossil excavation is taking place! This usually only occurs during the summer months.

The Los Angeles Zoo is a great place for your family to visit. Open all year round, the zoo boasts a collection of over 1200 animals from across the globe. The zoo has been in operation for over 40 years and yields an impressive 1.4 million visitors every year and is definitely something fun to do while visiting LA.

No matter what time of year you decide to come to Southern California and visit Los Angeles, you will find pleasant weather and a limitless amount of things to do that make for a memorable trip.
