Gas powered cars allow you to speed across the highway, weave through traffic, and even run traffic lights" with no risk of a traffic ticket. Radio control cars, also called RC cars, are a great way to exercise your wild, reckless driving style without endangering others. Before choosing your gas powered RC cars, though, you need to figure out which kind best fits your needs.
True gas powered cars run on a mixture of gasoline and oil, although you can also purchase nitro fuel cars, which are like a hybrid between gas powered cars and electric cars. Most gas powered RC cars come with an automatic transmission, and all they need to function is enough gas to hit the road. You can purchase both toy sized models and larger hobby sized models. Either size comes in two categories: on-road, designed for paved areas, and off-road, designed for any other terrain you can think of.
Gas powered RC cars are designed for more experienced hobbyists who want to add an extra element of realism, challenge, and excitement to the sport. To fully enjoy these larger scale cars, you will need plenty of straight driving space so they can reach full speed before you start curving.
There are many benefits to spending the extra cash to purchase a gas powered RC‘s. For one, there are no expensive batteries you have to purchase or recharge; all you have to do is pour in the fuel and watch them go. They also have much more power than typical electric or nitro models. Another benefit of gas RC cars is that even though they cost more, they tend to last longer and hardly ever require engine tune-ups.
Gas powered RC’s are on the expensive side, so be prepared to spend a nice chunk of change when you go to purchase one. Also, they tend to have a lot more road noise than electric cars, so if you are using them with a group of people you may get the sensation of being at NASCAR due to all the engine noise. They also emit very strong fumes, so be sure to only use them in well-ventilated areas. Even though one of the benefits of these cars is that they usually last longer than electric ones, there have been cases of difficulty with maintenance as far as troubleshooting why these cars sometimes have difficulty starting.
One of the most exhilarating and challenging activities to do with you gas RC car is street race. It allows you the same thrill as video game racing games, but that thrill is doubled because you are actually racing a real car, not just using a controller to control an on-screen car. Plus, as previously mentioned, you have no worries about the police because you are not breaking any laws. How can you tell if your car is the best one on the track? Do not only look at its winning streak, but also how fast it can go from 0 to 60 mph; the good ones can usually do it in 3-6 seconds.
Whether you are already a car hobbyist and looking for a new thrill or you are a novice just getting started, you can have a blast with your gas RC cars. Do your homework, decide which model you like best, and get out there and start racing.
