The solution for this is the replacement of these cables that are due or the spring cable pulley as both sides are supported by this mechanism. It will have an uneven closure due to the uneven support of one or two damaged cable or pulley.
Holding the push button constantly is the only way to shut the garage door. The reason for this garage door behavior is the misalignment of the photo sensors. Photo sensors are electronic devices that send signals to the switch when it is activated. If it is aligned, the door will function normally. The solution is to align the photo sensors and clean them. Replace if necessary.
Garage won't stay open. The cause of this is springs that has taken a set. The solution is to adjust the spring or springs.
Squeaking doors. This symptom should be taken cared of immediately. Non lubricated rollers, bearing, and hinges will cause the garage door to make these warning noises. Lubricate them immediately to prevent more damage and have a smooth operation.

The closing of the door is incomplete and imbalanced. Either of the three or all of them causes this malfunction. The remedy is to replace whichever spring is causing the problem.
The door won't open. This occurrence is probably caused by either a broken torsion spring, broken extension spring, or the track is bent. For the springs, replace them with new ones. If the problem is bent track, straighten, adjust or a track replacement could be due.
