Cell phone technology has advanced so far that smartphones like the LG Optimus are expected by consumers. Currently, metal casings on the outsides of phones is not as popular as having a plastic exterior much like the Optimus One. If you are looking for something that is relatively light and easy to use, this is the phone for you. Regardless of the size of hands that you have, it will be very easy to find settings on this phone like volume control. People that buy a smartphone are generally looking for something that is easy to hold and manipulate. The least of your problems with any phone, in fact, is usually its physical construction. If you need to tether your Internet connection to your laptop or desktop, Optimus One is the phone for you. Most smartphones today are capable of WiFi and Bluetooth and this smartphone is no different. It also comes with an accelerometer and a GPS receiver for apps that use them. We do feel there is insufficient standard memory, 170MB, however there is an expansion slot for more if need be. Whether you are surfing on the Internet, or finding your way around town, this phone has enough battery juice to get you there. You can probably expect an overnight charge to last an entire day.
Overall, the Optimus One has sufficient technology that will satisfy all but the most demanding smart phone users. So there is not a problem for the general smart phone end user. A lot of people like using voice search along with the GPS that is also a part of the many features. You will need to monitor your battery and usage if you tend to use your phone a lot. If you tend to be a heavy user, such as going online and everything else, then you may find it necessary to recharge the battery before the end of the day.
Those that purchased the original version of this smartphone will find the LG Optimus One a great improvement. Without a doubt, someone who buys this phone will be unhappy. If you use Flash, you will not like this phone because it will not work. However, we do feel that is a minority and the average phone user and web surfer will never know the difference since they rarely encounter Flash.
