Off the beaten path in Eugene Oregon

My wife Elizabeth and I lived in Los Angeles for 30 years, and yet we had many friends and there has been established for three decades, we always greener, trees, mountains and rivers of the Northwest, are dreaming of were much closer to the street. We made several trips to the Northwest, and our next home be considered as different places, but nothing really clicked until we arrived in Eugene. We were staying in a motel, and I the local paper, The Register, Guard, and the first thing my eye fell upon an ad in the real estate section, that question was raised: "You want to live in for Beautiful hand-crafted custom home in the woods, in your back yard with an escape clause? "We responded positively. We called the realtor and set up an appointment for the next day. When we are home, the beautiful McKenzie River east of Eugene at the top of the saw, it was love at first sight. This ad was described, a two-story house in the woods beautiful wooden beams in our back yard was all with their own rushing stream.
We bought the house. Everything seemed to just fall into place. Los Angeles, we have a nice house on a quiet street on the west side of town were staying. It was a beautiful road, and were good neighbors, but we seemed to never really get to know each other. There was a sort of wall between neighbors. But once settled in our house in Oregon, we simply started to make a large number of friends. There was an openness among the people here. We visited almost every day in Eugene, and two years later, we decided to go closer to the city. Eugene, a city of 125,000 on Interstate 5, which runs between the state's right. Eugene likes to call itself the City of Arts and Outdoors, and it measures in all departments. If you want on the road, Eugene beautifully located to take advantage of wonderful outdoor living. About an hour and a half drive east of the Cascade Range in the beautiful mountains, hikers and summer terrace, and is filled with skiers in winter. Cascades drive beautiful McKenzie River, a wild rushing river that is absurd as you drive east to its source in the mountains with. Fishing along the river is amazing, and you can see some rapids on the edge of the famous drift boats in the water seem to stabilize the preparation.
West of Eugene, about an hour and a half back to the Pacific Ocean and Oregon's beautiful wild beach. The beach is amazing. Willamette Valley, which sits north of Eugene to Portland almost run, and if you are a wine lover, you will love this area. Vineyards dot the field. In Oregon, which is internationally renowned for producing great wines. Pinot Noir is the most abundant grape here. Eugene, himself a very progressive city, youth, community-minded town. The part due to the presence of the University of Oregon with its 20,000 students. Schools are excellent for small children here. Arts are obvious everywhere, especially music. Hult Center in the heart of the city, draws the top names in music. International Bach Festival, held in July, ten days, the world's leading Bach Festival. Late spring to autumn, people outside the home market in the city to collect the beautiful fruits and vegetables from surrounding farms to buy.
