Known as the city with "bright lights," Las Vegas is a city bursting with culture and life. Nowhere else can you gamble, see a Celine Dion or Elvis Presley performance, and watch a beautiful sunset all in the same place. Couple elope to Las Vegas, while others hope to make it big at the blackjack tables. Las Vegas is always a busy city, making it one of the most popular places to visit.
While one may enjoy gambling in Vegas, gambling on flight prices is never fun. Instead of randomly calling up flight agents to find the lowest airfare prices to Vegas, there is a methodical approach tourists can take. Knowing the peak seasons and off seasons for Vegas is a good place to start in finding cheap flights to Las Vegas.
Most people travel to Las Vegas during the winter and autumn seasons. As a city for celebrations, flights to Las Vegas also fill up quickly for New Year's Eve. Las Vegas is also one of the top cities for major business conferences, so you will want to make sure no conferences are occurring during the time of your flight for the lowest rate possible. International conferences in Vegas tend to draw large crowds as well, meaning you will have to pay higher rates for hotel rooms, rental cars, and flights.
To avoid paying top fees for Las Vegas flights, you should try travelling during the off season. The off season occurs in Las Vegas during the summer. Summers in Vegas are scorching hot, but hotels and casinos have cool air conditioning to relieve you. You will find all sorts of promotional deals going on at hotels and casinos during the summer months. You will also be able to take a few extra bucks to the casino with the money you save from low airfare rates.
If you absolutely must fly during peak season, then you may still be able to save money in other ways. Try flying a red-eye flight to or from Las Vegas. If you can't stand the thought of flying a red-eye, then maybe you should just try flying a red-eye back from Las Vegas. Chances will be that you are so tired from partying it up in Vegas that you need a good snooze anyways!
One other tip to save money is demanding reimbursement from an airline if it advertises lower rates later. For example, perhaps you purchase a flight online for a certain airline. Then, only a couple weeks later, you see that same flight going for half the price. You should call the airline in this instance and demand reimbursement due to the later advertisement. Many airlines will not want to lose your business in the future and will accommodate you with extra funds or further cheap flights Las Vegas.
