The 2011 Audi Q7 has a lot to offer and seems to have managed decent ratings in the competition for the mid sized SUV domination, landing a safe 6th spot out of nearly 20 participating vehicles. The vehicle has gone through extensive test drives to establish its strong points and overall reliability. Some of the basic features in the SUV include a six seater setting, a lot of cargo space, and of course the same elegance, not to mention the supercharged engine which stacks up its power and boosts its efficiency like nobody’s business.
One of the major downsides is the cost, which most of the reviewers argue is unrealistic, considering you can get the same features and more, in a different vehicle for significantly less. But other than that, the SUV is still quite fabulous. The 2011 Audi Q7 has undergone extensive transformation, which has taken place mostly in the engine. The most notable being the absence of a sluggish V6 3.6 liter engine and instead a new supercharged 3.0 liter which is combined by an 8 speed transmission.
In case you have a specific model in mind, like perhaps the TDI version, they have it available for sale, the price will be high, but the same quality 17/27 standing make it relevant in the market, and demands an extra $4,000 when compared to the other 7 cylinder models. So what’s changed in the 2011 version? The 2011 Audi Q7 has of course gotten new engines, a few adjustments on the exterior, and transmission.
This particular SUV has a price tag that exceeds $60,000 and this makes it easier for other similar sport utility vehicles to jump in on the competition, with most of them offering pretty much the same ride, some with lower fuel consumption. But still the Q7 remains a force to reckon with and dominates a significant part of the SUV market.
Performance
The supercharged addition in terms of engine has done a lot to boost the performance of this vehicle plus maintaining decent fuel economy. It’s got swift speed and of course the 8 speed transmission only makes it better. This gives it a good rating in performance.
Exterior
The reviews for the vehicle’s exterior remain a fifty fifty opinionated stalemate, with some of the reviewers approving its distinctive and the others feeling a little dissatisfied.
Interior
The luxurious interior doesn’t disappoint; for the most part, but some people complain of the third row seats being a little cramped. This therefore makes it suitable for small adults or children.
Safety
It ranks pretty high up as does the previous model, in safety, and of course the new version comes equipped with new techy devices for accident avoidance.
Reliability
Q7 drags behind in reliability, with an average or mediocre score. This however does little to deter Audi enthusiasts who would not have it changed or altered in any way.
