When putting together an outfit for work, a date, or any other occasion, many times choosing which shoes to wear with it can be the toughest decision to make. Different shoes give you a different look, so choosing the wrong shoes to wear with your great clothes can turn an excellent outfit into a fashion disaster. Alternately, the right shoes can make a plain out outfit look really awesome.

However, it does not have to be so difficult. The right pair of cute flats, wedges, or other shoes can turn a nice outfit into a gorgeous one. Here are a few examples of which shoes should be work with which bottoms to ensure that your outfit has the complete look that it needs to look great.

Wedges -- With a heel that connects to the rest of bottom of the shoe, wedges do not have a separate heel piece common with most shoes. Low or high heels are available with this unique heel style.

Due to the chunky heel on this style, flared bottoms are best matched with it. Flared leg pants and long skirts that are flowing work well with this style.

Flats -- Also called ballerina flats, these are slipper-type shoes. They can be either girly or elegant in their graceful appearance, depending on which details are used on a shoe of this style.

These pretty shoes are paired wonderfully with skinny jeans. They can also accent a shorter skirt without being overpowering towards the rest of the outfit.

Boots -- The classic winter shoe, boots are available in a number of stylish fashions. There is a style of them out there for you, whether you like flats or heels, knee-high ones or thigh-high ones.

Skinny jeans and long skirts are great styles to wear with boots, though a flared-leg jean will look good with the right boot as well. But for a longer look, make sure that when wearing long skirts, the boot top comes up above the skirt's hemline.

Pumps -- Pumps, with a low-cut front and a heel, are a classic, go-with-anything sort of shoe. Depending on the current style, the heels are either wide or narrow.

And they just match up with almost anything. They give a sophisticated air to a t-shirt and jeans outfit, or a classy look with long and mid-length skirts. They also pair well with trousers.
