Timberland boots have been specifically designed and manufactured over the years in order to withstand harsh environments. They are specifically made for hiking and working outdoors in all sorts of different weather conditions. If you want to get the most use out of your boots then it is important for you to take good care of them. In order to do this regular cleaning will be required and this will make sure that you get the longest lifespan out of them before you need to purchase a new pair.
Depending upon whether or not your boots are simply dirty or whether they have suffered a specific stain, there are several different things that you can do in order to clean them up and bring them back to their original state, or as near as possible to it.
The first thing that you have to do is to make sure that you get all of the necessary supplies that you will need in order to clean your boots appropriately. The best way to do this is to buy cleaning products specific to the type of boot you own directly from Timberland. They will have cleaning products that are designed for these particular boots and therefore they will be best placed to actually do the job.
When you are actually cleaning your boots there are several steps to take. The first is to get yourself a warm towel and simply brush down your boots with it. This is simply going to remove any dirt on the outside of the boot and leave it looking shiny once it has dried off.
When looking to clean the bottom of your boots you should be using an old toothbrush and warm water. Timberland boots are very highly treaded and have excellent grip. This, however, makes it more difficult to get into the nooks and crannies of the boot. This is where the toothbrush will come in, allowing you to get right in their and clean out all excess dirt from the bottom of the boot.
Once you have removed all of the dirt from the boot then it is time for you to get out the baby wipes and wipe them down. This is a good trick that will give your boots a good shine. Use as many wipes as you need in order to cover the boot from head to toe, and then allow to air dry.
When your boots have specific stains you will need to use the products that you have purchased directly from the store. The sponge that you have purchased should be specifically used depending upon the material that your boot is made out of.
You can also use an eraser in order to get the scuff marks off of your boots. This method is free assuming you have a general pencil eraser in your home. All you need to do is run it over the scuff marks several times and the mark will gradually, and magically, begin to disappear.
