The Labor Day has its roots in the struggle of working class and was first celebrated around 1880s. Whatever was the reason of observance of this day, today, it’s celebrated more for fun and as long week. People go to different LA events during this day off and enjoy with their family. As there are several events taking place in Los Angeles during this day, so it’s a wise decision to pre-specify events that will become a part of your visit to this city of Angeles:

Orange International Street Fair: Orange International Street Fair (OISF) is the annual fair that takes place on Labor Day and is crowded with families from different cultures and ethnicities. Music, dance, food and many other entertainment events together become the subject of the fair. The traffic remains closed in the street from Friday through Sunday. The parking is either free or available at very low rates.

Long Beach Greek Festival: This is a cultural festival taking place yearly during Labor Day. There are youth, elderly and children all in the fair enjoying food, dance exhibits, music and games. There is also social dancing, Greek music lessons and a full on carnival for those who visit to this fair. There are some places where parking is free and you can search them online or the flyer of the fair.

The Art Deco Festival: Tours, lectures, the special bazaar, a grand Art Deco Ball, tea dance, cocktails in historic places and much more fun is what the Art Deco Festival is all about. The festival is a fun for all the age groups from different ethnicities and cultures.

The Taste of the World Festival: The Taste of the World festival is an annually held event that is very unique. The festival gets representation from all over the world in different fields. Clowns, musicians, feature scrolling entertainers, cooks and art exhibitors all are there in the festival from all over the world. The festival takes place on Labor Day weekend at different places, so make sure that you confirm the exact location before leaving for the event.

Fiesta Hermosa Festival: Fiesta Hermosa is an annual three day festival that takes place during Labor Day. The festival is full fun with perfect weather and music and art festivities. The music and art & craft events at Fiesta Hermosa are of highest standards and you will enjoy them whether you go to the festival just for a single day.
