Fantastic early years toys and resources from GALT education including multi cultural finger puppets, wooden rattles and Hidy Tunnels.
Multi-cultural Finger Puppets
Puppets are both entertaining and captivating. They offer children the opportunity to express themselves and communicate their ideas and feelings. They are a great way for practitioners to discuss the effects or positive and negative behaviour. They are also valuable educational tools when they represent different occupations, cultures and ways of life.
Set of 30 stitched felt finger puppets showing people of all ages from different cultural backgrounds. Each puppet also has a hook and loop patch on the back for use on felt boards, the set includes African, Caucasian and Indian families.
We have a child in our nursery who has recently become very quiet and withdrawn, so in small group time, her keyworker introduced the finger puppets with her keyworker children. She started by telling he own story with the use of the finger puppets and gradually she encouraged the children to use the puppets to tell their own stories. All the children really enjoyed the experience. We plan to carry on using them this way and we will keep the puppets only to be used in small group time and not have them out for a resource to be used at all times. I consider the product to be completely safe. The multi-cultural finger puppets could be used by all children and certainly can be used to help children in their development.
Wooden Rattle Pack
The Pack of seven wooden rattles with multi-coloured beads to capture a baby's attention. This collection of wooden rattles is a set of seven different rattle bracelets made of a coloured soft wood. The bracelets are designed for roaming babies who are close to teething. The advertising states these coloured rattles are designed to catch babies attention and they certainly did that. These gorgeous rattles were very popular with both babies and mums - so much so that many mums asked where I got them from and where they could buy them. The wooden rattle pack is a quality product that will last for a long time.
Hidy Tunnel
We have a tunnel made of tough fibreglass material that we use inside and out. There is a pod in the middle that connects two tunnels and the children love crawling in and out of the tunnels and popping their heads out of the pod. It's fantastic for developing toddlers' gross motor skills. We've had it for over 18 years and it's stood the test of time.
