NOOK for Android is an e-reader application from Barnes & Noble, that provides customers with a great optimized reading experience and access to the largest ever collection of interactive magazines, and books. NOOK has a collection of more than two million digital books, including everything from hot new releases to bestsellers. Customers get instant access to hundreds of free NOOK books, and can sample any NOOK book for free. It also has newspapers and magazines that you can access right from your Android phone or tablet.

Once you install the app and set up you account you will be taken to the Main menu. Here you can access your library, which is pre-loaded with some sample books available for download, as well as an introduction to the NOOK eBook. From the main menu you can access your library, change settings, Shop, or access any files you have saved. You can sort the books in your library, by recently opened, title, and author. Click on the 'Shop' button to view the shop page. Here you can search for books by categories such as Bestsellers, Mystery, Non fiction, Currently trending, etc. Once you download a book, you have additional options such as: font, go to, details, sync, etc. You can adjust the font size and brightness in order to create an optimal reading experience. The 'Go To' option lets you to go to any 'linked page' from the Table of Contents. The bookmarks tab allows you to jump to any page you might have bookmarked.

NOOK has been updated with an optimized design for Android tablets, and let's you customize your reading experience. You can turn pages with the flick of a finger. The App simulates the feel of turning a page in a book, which adds to the authenticity of the book reading experience. It also allows you to bookmark, highlight, and earmark pages. To bookmark a page simply press the top right corner of the page. The page will dog-ear indicating that the page is bookmarked. The handy browsing tool lets you jump right to the magazine pages you want to read. You can also delete, lend or archive a book using the Quick Actions toolbar. It is the only bookstore that lets you lend eBooks to friends for free.

NOOK let's you shop for your favorite books, magazines and newspapers all within the Android app. Try any Magazine subscriptions, including your favorites like Us weekly, National Geographic. The Economist, etc, all free for 14 days. You can also side load you own epub files, and it's the only app with an in-app eBook lending feature. Overall, NOOK is a great eReader that is sure to enrich your reading experience. It has an easy to use, feature rich interface, along with a vast collection of books that makes it the best eReader available.
