The harmful common pest that is famous for creating health problems is the black mold. Its spores have the ability to travel in the air and can be inhaled by people and cause various types of diseases. The main cause of growth of these harmful molds is the moisture. Water leakage is the main reason of creation of harmful substances. The symptoms of heath problems caused due to black molds are fever, cold, flu, headache bad throat. If molds are not removed, they can cause serious problems such as memory loss, asthma and loss of concentration.
There are different types of black mold that are harmful while others are non toxic. But, you cannot decide the type without a laboratory test. There are two ways of checking the toxicity of molds. The first method is to get samples from the air and the other method is surface checking. These methods are used to examine the toxicity and density of molds and to suggest remedies accordingly. Generally speaking, black molds are present in almost all the houses, so we cannot say that they can be completely avoided, because weather is the major factor that helps them to grow and spread.
But, there are some methods that can be applied to control the growth of black mold. When their growth is controlled, disease is controlled automatically. There are a few tips and suggestions that must be followed to prevent the growth of mold to keep the environment healthy and safe. First of all, keep an eye on water leakage in your house and building, and in case you locate infiltration or water leakage, take immediate steps to stop it. Since humidity allows mold to spread quickly, try to decrease the humidity level of your house up to fifty percent. When the weather is humid, you can use air conditioners and dehumidifier to reduce the level of humidity. All the rooms must have good ventilation system to allow flow of fresh air.
In order to facilitate ventilation, you can install exhaust fans in your kitchens and washrooms, so that mold does not penetrate into the walls. This process will help effective infiltration as well. It is suggested to add mold killing products in paints and white wash when you plan to paint the walls. There are many liquids available for cleaning of bathrooms that kill the mold. You must use these liquids to clean your bathrooms. Bathrooms should not be carpeted at any cost. These are a few suggestions that can be followed to avoid molds.
