Pressure cleaning is one of the easier and more effective ways of keeping your household free from dirt and stains. This method of cleaning also saves a lot of time and effort.
Unlike traditional methods of cleaning like sweeping, scrubbing and mopping, pressure cleaning involves very little labor and is economical too. This method also helps in decreasing pollution as it keeps the surroundings clean. But you will have to overcome a few hassles if you use a pressure cleaner to clean your house yourself.
Problem 1 – A pressure cleaner is a machine which requires certain techniques if you want to operate it. There are different pressure levels that you have to use for cleaning different surfaces. Cleaning floors and driveways require more pressure while to clean wooden surfaces like windows or glass you have to release the water at a low pressure. Then again the pressure of the water has to be different for cleaning different substances.
Dirt requires very little force while grease and oil can only be removed at maximum pressure. Any mistakes in employing the techniques of pressure cleaning could prove to be costly. Hence, these technicalities have to be learnt and for that you have to take the help of preferably a professional cleaner.
Problem 2 – You may be a quick learner and be able to grasp the technical aspects of a pressure cleaner, but using the cleaner is not very easy. Controlling the hose which releases water at very high speeds could be quite a tough ask. While cleaning the walls of your house you will have to do it at the maximum pressure level. But if you are unable to control the hose properly and keep the nozzle pointing in the right direction, the high pressure water could damage your windows which are supposed to be cleaned with very little force.
Cleaning the higher areas of your house especially windows on the upper floor is a big problem. The pressure washer hose comes with extensions but that may not be adequate to reach the higher levels of your house. This will require you to use a ladder and pressure cleaning while standing on a ladder could prove to be dangerous.
Problem# 3 – In addition to these problems you will have to know the type of washer that will meet your requirements. You will have to decide whether you will need a multi-functional machine which will give you both hot and cold water cleaning or just a simple cold water machine will do. Knowledge of the power grading and the actual force of various water pressure levels are also very essential.
There are two types of chemical injectors that come with pressure cleaners. One is the Down Streamer which is installed after the pump and the other is the Up Streamer that is installed before the pump. You will have to ascertain the pros and cons of both the types and decide which will suit your needs best.
Taking these hassles into consideration it would seem that the task of high pressure cleaning would be best accomplished by hiring the services of professional cleaners instead of trying to do it yourself.
