Today, I'll be discussing what software you should use and why you should be using it when developing and designing websites.
I'm Brett Melton and I have been designing, optimizing, and developing websites for over 3 years and have learned some interesting practices.
The first stage is to design a website using Paint or Adobe Photoshop. I recommend Photoshop due to the features and capability's, plus almost every business uses it, so you want to make sure you are up to date on design capabilities.
The second step is develop the website which means to take the design that you just created in Photoshop and turn it into a fully functional website. The best software out there is Dreamweaver. All companies primarily use this so you want to make sure you know how to use it. Now, depending on how simple or complex your website will be, always write down what needs to be done or what functions your looking for. I've learned over the past two to three years that when you sit down and think about all of the details before you start, you become a professional in the Web World of Design and Development rather than just working from your head on an action to action basis. Not planning your website will lead to trouble down the road becuase your syntax (code) will be bad or wrong and it will be hard to maintain in the long run.
The third stage is SEO. You need to prepare your website for Google, yahoo, and bing. This means creating sitemaps, backlinks, non-duplicate content, bottom navigation, keywords in the title, content, pictures, video's, etc, and much more. Don't ever out source services. Google naturally will pick up on excessive spamming and band you from the search results leaving you screwed. Be careful and always research a service before using it.
These three steps are the process in creating a website, and optimizing it.
