They cost around at least 100 dollars, but you can get them at some electronic stores online. Now back to the mp4 players, most mp4 players come from china, so that is why they are sold so cheap. There are a few precautions you need to know while buying them:

2,The guarantee or refund policy. DONT get yourself over by thinking its a cheap deal. A cheap deal is a cheap deal only when the product works. A guarantee or a return policy is a must for buying mp4 players or HD players.

3,Check the other features the mp4 has, like FM etc;

4,The video formats they support (not a lot of cheap MP4 players support videos you would normally have or download)check if it supports .mpg, .avi or .wmv files.

5,Check the capacity of your player. A 512 mb player is useless if you want to put video. A 1gb one is also too small if video is concerned.

Most likely a mp4 costs around 40 bucks for 1g, 60 for 2gb and if you can find a 8gb one, its around 100 bucks.

A HD player costs around 200 bucks, but they have at least 30 GB of room, so movies are not problem.
