Starus Recovery announces a major upgrade of Starus Photo Recovery, boosting the recovery speed and offering a number of enhancements. Version 3.0 features a completely overhauled information recovery algorithm, offering better recovery ratio and cutting the time required to recover lost images almost by half. A major safety enhancement added in this new release is support for virtual disk images. Virtual disk images are bit-precise snapshots of actual media containing the pictures to be recovered. These snapshots can be stored as files on a different media, and are extremely handy when recovering pictures from flash drives, memory cards or SSD drives.

Minor enhancements bring in the ability to burn recovered pictures onto CD/DVD/BluRay discs, save them as ISO images, or store the files elsewhere such as on a remote location or a Web site via the FTP protocol.
