The latest internet tablet of Nokia to be released is N810. It has many new features in it with the exception of some functions which can be found in the previous ones.
The Box:
In its box you can find the things like mini USB data cable, Getting Started guide, power adapter, plastic car mount, a set of earbuds, and a cloth for cleaning of screen.
Design and Display:
Its display screen is of 4.2 inches with 800x480 resolutions. There is a thumb keyboard added in it which can be slides down. Also there is a built-in GPS receiver in it. N810 is smaller than N800 and the benzel around the screen of N810 is smaller with many buttons comes on the front of the device. On the left of slider keyboard there is directional pad placed and under it the home button is present. Home button and escape button are on the front of this device on a single slim rocker button. On its top the zoom buttons are also on rocker with the full-screen button just to the left of the zoom button. In the center there is power button and to its left there is a sliding lock button. On the device’s right side there is headphone and power adapter jacks present. It also has a stand, when it is closed both the USB port and memory card slot are blocked. Speaker grills are on its sides. An ambient light sensor is present above the webcam which is used for the automatic adjustment of screen brightness and keyboard backlighting. A notification light is present on the top left corner which shows different lights for different events.
Processor and Memory:
It is powered by a TI OMAP 2420 processor. It is of 400MHz. It has 128MB of DDR RAM also 256MB of flash memory. MiniSD cards instead of standard SD cards can be used in it. Internal memory is of 2GB from which 1.5GB is in use of GPS software for maps.
Software:
It is built on Internet Tablet OS 2008 which is the new operating system and it is built on Maemo 4.0. You can say that this tablet is a successor of N800 and not replaces it. There is some difference in both these devices. The new software is now running on both N800 and N810. It has many apps like PDF reader, sketch pad, image viewer, e-mail program, media player etc.
Camera:
Webcam is on the left face of this device.LED is also present.
Connectivity:
For connectivity it has Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) technology.
Battery Life:
It has a battery time with continuous use up to 4 hours and stand by time of 14 days. With music still playing it could work for 10 hours and online time span of 5 days.
