Although plenty of beaches are designed for couples or families, finding a perfect beach destination when traveling alone can be more daunting. However, more and more vacation packages are now geared toward single travelers.
Mexico is home to stunning beaches, delicious food and a non-stop party atmosphere. Mexico is home to plenty of archaeological sites, water sports and cultural spots to visit by day to keep the most active individual busy. At night, many of Mexico's finest resorts offer parties and dancing for all visitors. Cancun and neighboring town Cozumel are party towns, geared toward young people and singles. Set on the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, these famous resort destinations are popular for spring breakers. With some resorts that only allow adults, you can rest assured that Cancun is perfect for a singles vacation.
On the very tip of the Baja California peninsula sits Cabo San Lucas. Perhaps best known for being home to Sammy Hagar's nightclub, Cabo San Lucas is a paradise for single adults. With thumping night life, inexpensive restaurants and all-inclusive resorts, most every adult can find something fun to do in Cabo. The rocky coasts and dangerous Pacific Ocean nearly guarantees that most families will visit the quiet Gulf of Mexico. You can often find travel deals to Cabo San Lucas, especially during the off-season.
Cuba is a quieter destination than Mexico but still offers some beautiful beaches for singles. Varadero is one of the more populous towns, complete with a variety of resorts and great beaches. Varadero is also close enough for a trip into Havana where you can enjoy Cuban dancing and clubs.
Dominican Republic is an island in the Caribbean that shares the land with Haiti. Home to some of the best single resorts, Dominican Republic is a good choice for hedonistic pleasure. Although the entire island is full of beaches for singles, Puerto Plata has interesting night life and numerous adults only resorts.
There are plenty of resorts that cater to adults and singles in all of these locations. Before booking any resort or hotel, talk to a travel agent to ensure that the resort is a good fit for you. Although resorts strictly for single travelers are rare, there are plenty of places for adults only that offer nightlife and action to keep you busy.
