The LG WM3987HW 27 combination washer/dryer is perfect if you don't have an external venting source, which conventional dryers require, and it runs on standard voltage electricity. Although it is a space-efficient laundry solution, ideal for locations where a separate washer and dryer wouldn't fit, the full-size tub (4.2 cu. ft.) means you won't be compromising on washing capacity. This unit is just the thing for a couple or a small family with limited space in their apartment or home. This is also an ideal model for a business that needs a washer onsite and doesn't want a large laundry facility in the office. LG offers a special NSF-certified Sanitary Cycle heats water up to 158F to remove the toughest stains and bacteria from your dirty gym clothes. There were more than two dozen customer reviews with the average rating above 4 stars. The reviews were very mixed with 10 negative reviews and 15 rave positive reviews.

LG WM3987HW 27 Washing Machine Comparison and Reviews:

Most of the customers have been very happy with this purchase and they highly recommend it to other consumers. These consumers were familiar with a washer and dryer combination and also did not have the option of more than 110 volts or an outside dryer vent. The negative comments pertained to the drying time, the smell of steam drying vs electric hot air drying, the small loads the unit could wash at one time, and the steam release onto the floor from the unit door when opened at the end of the drying cycle. Customers that have owned this type of unit previously, or were station in Europe where these units are normative, or were using a Laundromat for all of their laundry needs were very happy with this purchase. More than one consumer suggested purchasing the extended warranty that was for five years as the lint could gather under the seals and need to be removed by a technician. Some clients suggested this was a design flaw by LG that needed to be remedied. Customers that were extremely happy noted they cleaned underneath the seal after every wash and they left the door open after each cycle to allow the interior of the drum to air dry. The consumers noted the unit was easy to install and came with all the hoses and connectors included. Persons with a tight installation space stated you needed four inches of clearance from the wall to the back of the unit and to add this to the dimensions to determine if it will fit in your space. If you have a limited space, no way to vent a conventional dryer, or need a way to wash your clothes with just a 110 outlet, this unit appears to be a very good purchase.
