Let us suppose a situation in which some of your friends and relatives have surprised you with a visit at your home. At such a situation you would surely want to treat them into something special so that they remember their visit for a long time to come. Here is a quick solution to your problem. Here are some great lobster recipes as well as crab cakes that you can prepare within a few minutes and surprise them in return. I am sure they are going to love the treat that they get.
One such very popular recipe is the lobster tails with butter and chive. It takes really little time to prepare. The ingredients required are four 5 ounce frozen or fresh shrimp tails, one teaspoon lemon peel that is finely shredded, one third cup of butter, two table spoon of fresh and snipped chives.
The process involves: thaw the shrimps if they are bought frozen from the market. Once that is done, wash the tails and then dry them with paper napkins. Then cut the tails lengthwise from the centre of the hard top shells and take the meat out. Make sure not to pull the meat out from the bottom of the shells. Finally press the shells apart into halves of tails with the help of your fingers.
Now to prepare the sauce with which you need to prepare the dip, melt some butter in a saucepan. Once the butter melts, add some chives and the lemon peel and then stir nicely. The sauce is now ready. Remove two tablespoons of sauce and keep the rest aside.
Now grease the oven and preheat it. Reduce the heat of the grill in to medium. Brush a portion of that two table spoon of sauce that was kept aside, on the lobster meat and then place the shrimp on the grill directly over the heat. Cover the meat with a lid and then grill it for the next six minutes. Turn the meat over after six minutes and then again repeat the procedure of brushing the sauce on the other side of the meat. Cover it again and grill again until it turns opaque. Now heat the sauce and serve the meat with the sauce as the dip.
crab cakes are another recipe that is quite popular with food lovers all over the world. They are also quite easy to make and you can find numerous recipes for them over the internet.
