Have you ever considered moving abroad? Not just for a few-weeks holiday in an all-inclusive hotel, but for some months or years to follow to live and work in the country different from your native home in language, culture and traditions?
Or, perhaps, you have just arrived at a new destination to join your family members, or to meet your new employer, or simply to try to start afresh with the hopes for the better life in your new home?
It may also be that you have already been working and living abroad for a considerable time and have much observed, learned and experienced to share with the fellow expatriates.
Either still in planning, just after arrival or having been struggling through (or enjoying) your expatriate life for some time, in any case you are welcomed to InterNations – the first international online community for people who live and work abroad.
Since its creation in 2007, InterNations has been developing with overwhelming success and now has the biggest networking site for expatriates all around the world. As a network based on trust, it enables our members to interact with each other, share their experience, give and receive advice for any every-day issue of expat living, exchange reliable information on expat-specific topics, and just express their opinions on politics, economics, society and other topics in the World Forum or the Town Talk.
Within the framework of our mission, we not only bring together expatriates from all around the world, but try to provide assistance for them to reduce the possible negative effects of culture shock as well. In our ‘Expat Magazine’ you can find useful tips and valuable information about moving, living and working abroad in general, about the opportunities for expat women or the challenges for families moving with children. The more detailed information about conditions for life and career overseas in a particular country or city may be found in the ‘Expat Guides’ section for the chosen community. Like-minded expatriates can also meet together at the top-class InterNations events or get together for the excursion trip to discover sights and landmarks of the country or city of their current residence.
As a whole, our network unites more than 420000 members in about 295 cities worldwide, with whom you can get in touch with. Our membership comprises diplomats, members of IGOs and NGOs, foreign correspondents, expatriates employed by multinational companies and their family members.
So, if you are a global mind and want to become connected with other global minds in the similar situation just follow the InterNations and request your invitation.
Either for the general information about the country and city of your future destination or for the advice on the health insurance or the best school for your children on the spot, InterNations is the network of your choice: Go to www.internations.org.
