Coupons are a popular way to save money these days, and some people are spending a fraction of the money they used to by using coupons. But here are six other reasons why you should use coupons.
Groceries Are less Expensive
There's no way around the great feeling you have when you know that your groceries are less expensive than your neighbor's are. It just feels good to know that the prices in the store are all hypothetical. Scanning the coupons at the register and watching your bill drop is a wonderful feeling.
New Products are advertised with coupons
Manufacturers want to spread the word about their new products and one very common way tot do that is to release coupons. You can try the product for a reduced price and, if you like it, the manufacturer is betting that you'll keep buying it. New products are what keeps couponing so exciting.
Couponing Gives Back
Coupons can make it easier to give to charity. If you find a deal where you are making money on cough drops, for example, it makes sense to buy enough cough drops to last Washington's Army through the cold hard winter. Donate what your family won't use in the next year to a local income-based clinic.
It's great math practice
Okay, so is item X a good deal if it is regularly retailed for six dollars, is on sale for twenty percent off and you've got a coupon for $1.50 off three? After figuring out oh about nine billions deals like this, mental math becomes second nature.
Coupons are fun!
After a while, your friends and family will be tired of hearing you gloat over how much money you're saving, so be sensitive. But you will be having so much fun getting free stuff with coupons that it will be hard to keep it down!
