There are three tests available under ACMS certifications.

• AOCP F (Amateur Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency Advanced Foundation)

There are two tests carried out in order to provide certification. In theory test you can find 59 multiple choice questions and practical test contains 30 questions. Scope of this examination includes your ability to assemble stations; there should not be any disturbance or outage to any other running services.

• AOCP S (Amateur Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency Standards)

Similar kind of test format is design to test your proficiency at standard level as well. But the level of operations has to be standard in this case. Candidates are requested to have on job experience in station assembly

• AOCP A (Amateur Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency Advanced)

Once you are done with experience of amateur level of standard and foundation, you can opt for the advanced level of test certification. WIA provides qualification for this test irrespective of above two tests only case you can provide your working experience.

If you can’t pass the certification at first attempt, you can always choose to re-appear for this certification. You are supposed to send information related to time and place to appear for this certification.

In certain cases, WIA will grant the relaxation for candidates in one or many projects if you hold higher educational standards. Also, there is good news for youngsters that there no minimum age criteria set by WIA. Deployment knowledge of telecommunication and radio communication would be added advantage for AOCP aspirants.
