Don't Get Stung This Summer

Summer is a wonderful time of the year when people look forward to getting outdoors after a long winter, and engaging in all of the great activities that everyone looks forward to. However, along with the warm summer months come the bees and wasps that are at the very least, irritating and at the worst, painful. There is no way to control the bees that simply fly around your yard on an occasional basis, but there are ways to control the bees that take up residence with you in and around your home with bee control and extermination.
Bees and wasps love to make their homes between and behind shutters, in and around some downspouts and in door entrances, etc., practically anywhere they believe that you will not notice them. Of course, sometimes people notice that they are there once they have been stung. Don't wait for this to happen to you. Do an occasional walk around your home and take notice of where you may see the bees and wasps making themselves at home.
Once you have located the trouble areas, it is time to take the necessary steps to get rid of your problem. First, decide what course of action you will take. Many homeowners try and get rid of them by dousing the entire area with water. That is guaranteed to make the bees and wasps angry but not to get rid of them. There are many different types of pesticides, sprays, etc. that can be used to douse the nest, if it is small enough, and not one of the larger hives that bees can form. It is sometimes difficult to get all of the residents of a nest killed in one spray and you will need to repeat the process until you can knock down the nest, and see no other bees or wasps come out.
Sometimes bees will make their home in the walls of your home, where you definitely do not want them to take up residence. Do not try to remove them by yourself. This is usually a job best left up to the professionals. Professionals can visit your home, insert the poison to kill all residents of the hive and take care to open up the wall and remove all of the hive and the dead bees or wasps. Of course, then you as the homeowner will have to repair or replace the drywall, etc... However, if you decide to tackle this job yourself, be aware that if it is not completed correctly, honey, dead bees, etc. can all drop down into the bottom of your walls and cause further damage.
Bees and wasps are not pleasant but are a fact of life when it comes to hanging around the lovely flowers that most individuals have placed around their homes. However, if you take the right measures to keep the bees to the flowers, they won't gain a foothold in the walls of your home or in the doors and shutters. Take care of them before they find you.
Prepare for the summer by searching into bee control and extermination
