When you are looking to buy a t-shirt, there can be a dazzling array of options to choose from. Whether you choose to purchase online or at a retail store, at one time or another you will probably be faced with the decision of whether to buy cheap, mass-produced t-shirts or high quality designer t-shirts. Although buying a designer t-shirt from a brand like Wildfox Couture or Imaginary Foundation can seem like an unnecessary expense when there are so many cheaper options available, it can be well worth the extra cost for a number of reasons.
Firstly, designer t-shirts are not necessarily much more expensive than cheaper mass-produced t-shirts, particularly if you buy them online and take into consideration their superior quality. T-shirts made from cheap fabric may have an unfortunate tendency to fall apart in the wash and lose their shape after a couple of wears. This means more hassle and cost for you replacing them and in the long run, you could end up spending more. Designer t-shirts don’t have to be prohibitively expensive - there are plenty of good deals online and a large range to choose from, so it’s worth taking a look. You might be surprised at the range and the prices!
The superior quality of the material designer t-shirts are generally made from may mean that as well as being longer lasting, they are also going to be softer and more comfortable to wear. Good quality cotton is much more breathable and feels better against the skin than cheaper materials, which can be scratchy or itchy. You might find you are less likely to want to wear t-shirts that don’t feel good.
The most distinctive feature of designer t-shirts is, naturally, their design. Having a tee that is designed by a human rather than a random computer generated image generally means that some thought has been put into it. Why wear a meaningless generic tee when you could have something thought provoking and interesting that can help you stand out from the crowd? Designer t-shirts often have some kind of message or significance behind the design and many of them are designed with a charitable purpose in mind, which means that as well as looking good, your purchase can have the additional benefit of contributing to the welfare of someone else.
When you have invested in great quality t-shirts with a fantastic design, the last thing you want is for your designs to fade or come off in the wash. This is a danger with cheap t-shirts. Even if the design is good, the printing is usually of poor quality and you could be left with a faded mess after just a few washes. Good quality designer t-shirts are intended to be worn for years and washed repeatedly, while the image remains intact.
Next time you are tempted to purchase cheap, no name t-shirts, think carefully. You might think you are saving money but in the long run, what will the costs be? For a little extra money you can get a lot more in terms of quality, wearability and appearance.
