Maintenance
The costs of a pool extension do not end with the completion of construction. Now the pool has to be maintained, and since the pool is now larger your maintenance costs will increase as well. Some of these increased costs can be lowered by better energy efficiencies such as use of solar heating. Also lighting can affect expenses, so use energy saving bulbs and consider installing new windows in the walls and ceiling where it will allow natural heat and light to enter.

Indoor swimming pools perform many roles in a person's life, depending upon the owner's income, the size of the structure in which the pool is housed and how many people will be using it. Therefore whether you need an extension, how much it should cost and whether you will be able to maintain it in good working condition should be the primary factors you consider when planning an extension for your indoor swimming pool.
