Monferrato wine: the merit of Italian wine

The Monferrato wine is the splendid red wine born in the homonymous Monferrato area (Italy). This geographical part of the Piedmont is considered ancestral cradle of the small farm devoted to wine, where every manufacturer is proud to leave their mark in the vineyard and in the cellar, creating a unique culture that is on the anthropological as well as on oenological-gastronomic. The white one, straw colored, with a distinctive smell, intense, pleasant with fresh, dry, sometimes lively flavour, both obtained from one or more non-aromatic berry colored grapes all originating in the province of Asti and Alessandria: Barbera, Bonarda Piemontese, Caberbet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Freisa, Grignolino, Nebbiolo, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cortese.
One of the most renowned red wine Monferrato wine is Gocciablu of the wineries Nonnolino. The vines that compose it and contribute to its uniqueness are as follows: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Barbera. The very important vines give birth to a still red colored wine with intensive violet hues and an aromatic scent with a spicy base and unmistakable intense and harmonious flavour. The alcohol content which it presents is 13.5%.
At each Monferrato wine, red or white, matching different combinations, from appetizers to meats and cheeses, from pasta with sauce to the typical soups of Monferrato, from white and red meat to the game, not to mention the desserts. In general we can say that the Monferrato wine is a great product of Piedmont that can be enjoyed alone, although in the red mode accompanies excellently hard cheeses, he game and prepared meat dishes of Piedmont .
