I recently purchased a D5150 BMW Car DVD Player from Eonon from the group buy. An amazing deal considering all the features it has.

Installation

This car GPS was pretty straight forward for the most part. I have taken out my console and dash many times to run ipod cables and OEM AUX in, so I was pretty familiar with the procedure. The Only difficulty I found was tucking all the wires back behind the unit since there is a ton of them, but with trial and error, it all worked out in the end. I decided to take the gamble of not buying the HVAC relocation bracket and its not really necessary to my taste. It sits fine with a slight gap below but not very noticeable .

Accessories

I chose to add a usb in port and aux in port to play music off of/ charge my phone, so I got and Simple aux integration kit (Just an rca cable with an aux port on the other end) and a usb in port (plugs into the back of the unit) off of amazon and ran them behind my hvac, through the shifter area, and under my cupholders to the small coin tray under the console armrest and drilled a hole for them to sit in. I didnt want a backup camera because I can just turn behind me and look for traffic when backing, and I really did not want to run cables from my boot lid to the console.

Features

I love all of them. I tested out the NFC, USB, Aux, and bluetooth and all were great. Love the fact that you can play music through bluetooth wirelessly from your phone. Call quality is good for a remote mic, wanted to mount mine in the sunroof panel but the wire wasn't long enough to run through the headliner. I currently have the mic in the top corner of my windshield on the drivers side, picks up my voice well. It also seems as if there is some sort of a built in amp in the headunit because I can play music at higher volumes and have less distortion from my HK speakers The new revised UI is also really cool, looks more professional and less "cheap headunit-esque" if that makes any sense.

GPS

Here is where I had some issues, none were Eonon's fault. I just had incorrect file structure but I fixed it and I am running iGo 8 flawlessly. I mounted the GPS antenna on top of my dash on the passengers side and it gets greatest reception. It picked up my location in a heartbeat and route guidance and ETA is pretty accurate. Loaded all files onto an 8GB Kingston Micro SD card and I like it alot. Got the map pack for all 50 states (who knows, I may be doing a cross country road trip this summer) Originally had trouble setting the file path to locate the GPS software, but I just didn't scroll down

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Beyond exceptional. I had a multitude of questions before and after I bought the unit, and Carlos from Eonon always responded in a timely manor. He was very helpful, and sent me the updated software for the unit to prevent the infamous launch.exe error.

So generally speaking this Car DVD GPS quite worth the money.
