Low temperatures in December reach about 23 degrees and it's even colder in January where the low averages about 17 degrees. During the summer it can get up into the high 80s. The weather in Independence is sure to get your air conditioner and heater working overtime. While it's great to experience all four seasons, the rise and fall of temperatures can do a number on your heating and cooling system.
