For the longest time, tea and I weren’t on good terms. I preferred coffee over tea. I liked my coffee hot, sweet, and as white as can be. Coffee was always there in times of need. What has tea ever done for me?
But then something happened. My relationship with coffee began descending down a rocky road. It made me feel things I never felt before. Horrible things. My stomach felt as if it was tied in knots. I started sweating profusely to the point of feeling light-headed. Coffee and I tried to work things out. I tried it cold, bitter, and black. Alas! Our relationship came to a cold, bitter halt.
Then, tea came at the right place and time in my life. I never fully understood or appreciated tea. I must say that it's actually pretty good and have lots of health benefits.
Here’s how tea can impact and improve your health!
IMPROVE YOUR ENDURANCE WORKING OUT
That’s right! Tea can help you kick major butt at the gym! Green tea, in particular, is known to help build and increase your endurance.
There are four main variations of tea: green, black, white, and oolong. These are the traditional variations, anything else, such as herbal teas, tend to have more unnecessary ingredients and don’t derive from the original tea plant. The four traditional variations come from the plant Camellia Sinensis.
Green tea helps burn fat as fuel, thus you will improve your muscle endurance!
HELPS YOU UNWIND & RELAX
There are a ton of other scientific benefits that tea can help you with. Not all of these benefits, however, are crystal clear. Some are debatable.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, tea helps calm and ease your nerves.
Coffee may have helped me relax for a bit, but it would end quickly. I would either have too much energy or I would feel gross. Tea doesn’t contain as much caffeine as coffee. Therefore, I’m able to relax as I enjoy reading a book, writing, or just stare off into a beautiful scenery.
