Alcatel launches into the world of Smart Watches targeting the most economical segment with its first model, the Alcatel One Touch Watch.

When it comes to judging the OneTouch Watch, it is essential to keep this objective of an affordable price in mind, which implies a renunciation of powerful features in order to adjust costs as much as possible.

One of the striking details of the One Touch Watch is that it uses Alcatel's own operating system, which makes it something peculiar and requires the user to get used to its operation. In return it allows it to be compatible with both Android and iOS, and that the battery consumption is lower, improving its autonomy.

Like some of the most recent models, it is committed to a circular design that approximates it to a 'classic' clock image. However, the sphere is not a full screen, but this, of 1'22 inches and 240x204 pixels (a somewhat limited resolution that causes a slight pixelation at times), is surrounded by a narrow band that marks the minutes in the style of an analog clock. The design is discreet, with a size not too large and a rather thin box, which allows to use it perfectly as a daily clock.

The dial is very customization, both in the configuration of the data to be displayed and in what refers to the watch face (two analog and one digital available), for which the user can choose even his own images as background.

The One-touch Watch allows you to have notifications and updates of the apps with which it is compatible (including the main social networks, WhatsApp, email and calls), but it does not allow you to elaborate an answer for them from the watch itself, nor read long messages or emails. It also does not allow downloading additional apps to those offered.

The connection with the smartphone is made through Bluetooth, and sometimes shows some connectivity problem.

Among its features, the One-touch Watch also includes a daily activity monitor mode, including a heart rate monitor on the back of the box. The corresponding app allows a count of steps, distances, minutes of activity, calories consumed and sleep. Some of these measures, in any case, are estimates based on the physical characteristics of the user.

The battery has an autonomy of between two and five days, being the usual something intermediate (about three days) with a moderate use. Charging is done through a USB tab built into the watch's own wristband, and it is also very fast. When it comes to battery recharge, the One Touch Watch is really comfortable and effective.
